R & R Manufacturing was started in the early 1970s by Roger and Randy Plew in Northeast Indiana. A local hardware store needed to easily replace mailboxes damaged by snowplows, in frozen ground.  What evolved out of that is a business that manufactures a mailbox that has a concrete base and a “wrought iron” center with a rural mailbox on the top.

Roger and Randy went on to develop a plastic hollow mailbox you fill with ballast. It is a durable one-piece design that weighs 10 pounds, available in 5 different colors, is approved by the Postmaster General, is patented, and is easily shipped.

When Randy was ready to retire, neighbors Brian and Renee Kyler decided to purchase the 50-year-old business and continue the tradition of providing beautiful, quality mailboxes to the community. We look forward to continuing to serve you.
